My daughter-in-law sells Scentsy and I love my Scentsy warmer and favorite scents.  They make my home smell heavenly and fresh.
I was excited when she said they were coming out with a new line called "Layers".

  7. Scentsy Solid Perfume:  our most beautiful scents in fine-fragrance perfumes; each Scentsy Solid Perfume adds the perfect finishing touch to your layered scent experience

I was so excited to try the line and so Jenny gave me a shower gel to try in the Enchanted Mist scent.  Let me tell you, the smell of it alone was wonderful. Then when you actually get to use it, it is even better.  The smell lightly covers you, but not overpowering either.  You get out of the shower with your skin feeling so soft and you feel refreshed.  This bottle was free for me to try but now that I have, I will be buying another.  I also cannot wait to try the lotion, body spray and other parts of this line.
Yes, she did give this to me for free but did not ask me to review it here either positive or negatively.  However since I love it so much, I wanted to share it here with ya'll.
Whether you buy from her or your own Scentsy consultant I  highly recommend that you  try the layers line.  If you are interested in buying from Jenny, online or in person, the link to her website is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jenny-Love-Independent-Scentsy-Consultant/370442439649998

Thanks and God bless,
Pat

I am back and more...................................

(Found this on google and thought it was perfect)

I have not blogged in awhile, I have had a hard time figuring out what to blog.  I read so many blogs and they have a certain theme and seem to do so well with it.  Mine has had no theme and sometimes I wondered if I should just quit.  I took a break and wondered if maybe I should just stop altogether.
Then this morning I got on here and I had a comment from someone and it spurred me on to keep going.  Now my blog still probably won't have a certain theme, except for this, it is about The Love's, what we are doing, what I am thinking etc.  I hope if anyone is out there reading that they will enjoy it.  Thanks to a sweet lady over at http://www.simplyraising8.com/ and her comment on my blog, I am back!
God bless,
Pat

Heaven or Hell?

I was reading something on facebook today and then I started thinking about somethings.  I am a Christian but I have not always been.  I have done some things I am ashamed of, made mistakes and just done or said things I knew was wrong.  I went to church for 17 years without missing a Sunday in church, I played the game, made the confessional speech, got baptized, taught classes and was still on my way to hell if I died.  Everyone thought I was saved except me, I knew better.  No one ever talked to me or asked me, they just accepted it.
Fast forward a lot of years, we started going to a new little church.  I wanted what those people had but did not know how to get it.  I mean everyone thought I was saved, maybe I was?  I didn't even know anymore.  Then one day at the altar a lady asked me if we could go and talk.  She loved God so much and she shared her story with me.  She asked me about my story and then she went a step further that might not always be right to do but it was right then.  She looked me in the eye and told me, "I think if you die on the way home, tomorrow, next week, or whenever you are going to hell.  I do not think you are saved."  I asked her how I could know for sure and she took Gods word and led me to the Lord.  Since that day almost 20 years ago I have known I was saved.  Are you saved?  Do you know for sure? If not, get your bible, get on your knees, talk to God, talk to a friend, your spouse, your Pastor, someone and get it settled.  That has to be number one, none of us are promised tomorrow or even the time it takes to finish this blog post.
Now, after you have that settled is the next part.  Tell someone, tell the ones you love, tell your family, tell the ones you work with, tell your enemies.  Someone told you, now you tell someone else. Hell, is an awful place and it is not for God's people but it is up to us if we go to heaven or hell.  Jesus died on the cross, He paid the price, the gift is there, all we have to do is accept it.  Then we need to share that gift.  I received my gift almost 20 years ago and the gift is still available, still free and something we all need.
If you don't know for sure, let me know and I will help you like Mrs. Carol Bridges and God helped me.
God bless,
Pat

Good morning Lord!

Try to make a habit of using your first hour of each day to listen to what God has to say to you.  Get up early, before any of your family if you need to.  Get you a nice cup of hot tea, or your beverage of choice and your bible.  Read your bible, spend some time in prayer and then just sit quietly and listen to what God has to say to you.  Try this and see what a difference this makes in your day and your life.  I challenge you to try it.
God bless,
Pat

2oth Anniversary-Bible Baptist church

Psalm 122:1
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

20 years ago we had been in El Dorado for over 2 years and after being raised in church had not found a church home. There was churches everywhere and even right around the corner from our street, but we could not find a place we fit in.  I picked up a newspaper and saw where a new church was about to start in a little storefront property the next Sunday.  So that Sunday morning Billy, me, Jonathan and Amanda loaded up and went to church.  There was 22 people including us and the Pastor, Bro JD Weido and his family.  We loved it and felt at home from that very first Sunday.
We have had many ups and downs, I have gotten saved, Stephen was born and we are still there.  We have not been perfect and we made mistakes but the pastor and the people of the church have always been there.  Those people, have became family.  I cannot imagine going anywhere else.
20 years have brought many changes, the Pastor and his wife went from 4 children to 4 children, 4 inlaws and 8 grands.  We have gone from 2 children to 3 children, 2 inlaws and 3 grands.  But more than that we have gained friends, sisters and brothers in Christ, people that care.  We have gained a much closer walk with God and watched the church grown from the storefront building to the wonderful building pictured above.  God is so good.
I love my church-if you are local and need a church home or ever visit El Dorado we would love to have you visit us at 2103 Smackover Highway.  Sunday February 5th (tomorrow) we have a huge event planned with lots of visitors and folks coming home to visit.  We will have one big service at 10 am with lunch served after services.  You are all welcome to come join us.
God bless,
     Pat

Quiet Corner, Santuary?

I have a group on facebook and the main point of it is to encourage one another to have our daily quiet time with God.  I was thinking this morning about my quiet time and is it really quiet?  Having quiet time is not just reading the bible, but it is reading, meditating, praying and listening to God.  How can you have true "quiet time" if it is not quiet? I think sometimes we have trouble hearing God cause we have so much noise in our lives.  I know at my house, it is rare for the TV, music, or both to not be going pretty much 24/7.
My goal this week is to find a spot, create a spot, even just a corner in a room, that I can use to have my quiet time.  I want a place that I can go to and read my bible, talk to God and relax and listen to what He has to say to me.  Do you have such a spot?  If not, why not join me, make you a spot for you and God.  If you have one or make one, I would love to see pictures and when I get mine done, I will come back and share pictures of mine.
I am off to think, look around and create......
God bless,
Pat

Taking a Break to see if I want to continue

I am taking a break from here.  I am not sure if I want to continue or if my blog is another thing that is just a thing of the past.  I ...
