Unshaken-A Book, A Review and a Recomendation

Rarely would I say a book changed my life but Unshaken has done just that. For those who have never heard of Moms in Prayer, you will be surprised to discover that it is a quiet, but powerful movement that has covered the world through the prayers of women who, in the process of praying for children and schools, teach other women to pray. The prayer format of Moms in Prayer, is explained in this book and shows how to approach God through praise, confession, and thanksgiving, and then intercede for others by praying His words for them.
I used to have a problem for even praying for 5 minutes. My mind would wonder and sometimes I would think if my prayers were even making sense or being heard. Through this book I learned to be more effective and strengthened in my prayer life. When we pray God’s word we can be sure He is faithful to hear us. We then give it to Him and await His answer. He will help you to understand how He answers your requests too.
If you want to learn to pray as Jesus prayed, for your prayers to be effective, heard, unshaken, then this book is for you. Written by Moms In Prayer International President, Sally Burke and Cyndi Claypool de Neve this book,”Unshaken” will inspire you as you pray for not only your children, but those around you and yourself also. You will learn the four steps of prayer and read stories of how God has worked though prayers of His children.this book in my opinion is a must read for every mom!
I received this book from the publisher for my honest opinion whether positive or negative. I have nothing negative to say however as this book has had a profound, positive effect on my life. I highly recommend you read it too.

Happy 16th Birthday Stephen Austin Love!

From this little baby born on April 7, 1995 to the wonderful young man you have became April 7, 2011 Moma and Daddy were so blessed the day you were born and grow more blessed with each passing year.  I pray God will richly bless you this year.  Let Him be your guide and follow Him and do His will and you will be right where you need to be.  We love you! God bless, Moma & Daddy

What If?

Saw this on a friends blog and had to share-Before you gripe about another petty something about your spouse or child-think how how you would feel if you woke up without them tomorrow. Man this hit me in the face and really made me really think! :(
Then, I found this quote above about what if you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday.  Who or what would you still have?  Would you have your spouse, your kids, your friends, your home, car, anything?  Again, this really made me think and I ashamed to say I am not sure I like my answers to the above questions.
I cannot change the past as none of us can but I am going to really work on changing my answers and my life.  I know I need to really work on this but I am sharing it in the hope it might help others as well.
God bless,
Pat

For Today

Looking out my window...a little cool but sunny and nice
I am thinking... about how much I hate the effects of this time change on my grands

I am thankful... for friends who pick me up when I want to give up
One of my favorite things...  listening to my windchimes and birds singing
I am wearing... redpants, church tshirt and tennis shoes

I am creating...  growing minds at the moments, homeschooling my grands, preparing them for the future the Lord has for them

I am watching...nothing at the moment, my little bit of tv time tends to be Paw Patrol and Vamparina with the grands
I am reading... my bible and trying to make time for quiet time with me and the Lords word each day
I am listening to...Casting Crowns are a favorite right now
Praise You In The Storm This one is getting me through right now
I am hoping... for spring to be here soon, so ready
I am learning... thatyou have to do what is right even when people are trashing you and tearing you down with their lies
In the kitchen... chick…
