Simple Woman's Daybook for March 6,2017

Looking out my windowIt is a cool dreary night but the kind of night I actually enjoy sometimes, it is like the world is crying and preparing for another day and another chance

I am thinkingI have so much laundry that needs to be folded.  I read something today that made me think.  This lady said instead of complaining about the laundry, she used it to pray.  She prays for the person whose laundry it is.  She prays for the home that God has given her and the family she is blessed to have.  It will make you rethink your laundry and life.

I am thankfulthat when we step back and let go, God will truly move in and work in a way we never could imagine or do

One of my favorite thingsis to write letters and get happy mail.  Excited to be getting back into having "penpals" again

I am creating
a classroom for the kids where it will be a place they want to come and not a place they dread, this will be an ongoing process but hopefully fully ready by next school year

Love Homeschool Red Foxes

I am wearingdenim capris and a green Scottish tshirt from last years Missions conference at church

I am reading Unshaken and am on the Launch Team right now
and was on the Launch Team for  Listen, Love, Repeat and
now looking forward to the upcoming bible study of the same name
and using this book
If you go to! you can preorder the Unshaken book and get a free downloadable prayer journal.  For more information on the bible study go to and it will be starting on April 3rd

I am hoping
to get caught up on laundry, I know I deem obsessed with laundry, but if you saw what I need to complete you would understand

I am learning
to not just talk to God but to listen too

In my kitchen
Leftovers now but supper was chicken fried steak, potatoes and gravy, mac'n'cheese and green beans

In the school room
PACES, handwriting, math facts, hooked on phonics, time and money

In my garden
right now just plans in my head but hoping for a small one for veggies, some for flowers and a fairy garden in my quiet spot

Happy 16th Birthday Stephen Austin Love!

From this little baby born on April 7, 1995 to the wonderful young man you have became April 7, 2011 Moma and Daddy were so blessed the day you were born and grow more blessed with each passing year.  I pray God will richly bless you this year.  Let Him be your guide and follow Him and do His will and you will be right where you need to be.  We love you! God bless, Moma & Daddy

What If?

Saw this on a friends blog and had to share-Before you gripe about another petty something about your spouse or child-think how how you would feel if you woke up without them tomorrow. Man this hit me in the face and really made me really think! :(
Then, I found this quote above about what if you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday.  Who or what would you still have?  Would you have your spouse, your kids, your friends, your home, car, anything?  Again, this really made me think and I ashamed to say I am not sure I like my answers to the above questions.
I cannot change the past as none of us can but I am going to really work on changing my answers and my life.  I know I need to really work on this but I am sharing it in the hope it might help others as well.
God bless,

Faith Over Fear! I Choose Faith!

I have been feeling overwhelmed and stressed for quite some time.  I have tried so many ways to make it better and even tried just giving up.  I have been doing lots of praying, talking to friends and even more talking to God.  I am now choosing faith over fear.  Faith over the fear I am not good enough; faith over the fear that God doesn't love me; faith over the fear of what other people think; faith over choosing the world and the lie of busyness to not make time for me and God.

There have been hurricanes, tornadoes and floods over much of the country.  They are devastating and people think they can never overcome this. The storms of life are much the same. They are hard and devastating and we will like things are beyond our understanding and out of our life is out of control. This is where faith comes in.  We have to have faith in what we cannot see, what we can not understand and in God.  We have to choose faith over fear.

Faith comes in trusting God and that He wan…
